Emily Listfield

My Story

I tell stories. Sometimes in the form of novels. (Seven, so far, including a New York Times Notable Book of the Year.) From the East Village art scene to the Upper East Side private school world, I'm interested in how we live and how well we can ever truly know another person, even those we love most.

I have been an Editor-in-Chief of national magazines  (and still write for many of them) and the Chief Content Officer for global companies (and still help tell their brand stories).  And I co-founded Jyst, the relationship advice app, to give women a place to share their personal questions and advice.

I have appeared frequently on national television, been a speaker at SXSW, and work with nimble•works as a consultant for health-related companies.

In the end, it all comes down to narrative - yours, mine, ours.
